#8 Michigan State (2-0) vs #10 Wisconsin (3-0)

There is no question the BIG game of the week is the Spartans hosting the Badgers. Both teams have top 20 wins on their resume, and the winner will take the lead in the drive for the BIG Ten title and a CFP final four birth. Unlike last season, the winner of the Big Ten Championship will probably need to run the table in conference play. Look for MSU’s run game to be too much for a stout Wisconsin run defense.

#20 Nebraska (3-0) at Northwestern (1-2)

Northwestern is a better team than they’ve shown so far this season. Nebraska is coming off an impressive win over Pac10 foe Oregon. This is the Huskers first road game of the season, and a chance to really show they are one of the contenders for the West Division title. Northwestern has struggled to put points on the board and have not found their run game. Meanwhile Nebraska is clicking on all cylinders, putting up over 40 points. The Huskers have to be careful not to look ahead to their showdown at Iowa next week. This smells like a trap game for Nebraska. Nebraska by 13 points.

#4 Michigan (3-0) vs Penn State (2-1)

If you believe the hype in the media and the Wolverine’s stats against some of the worst teams in the FBS, then Michigan will run away with this game. Michigan is favored by only 20 points. The Nittany Lions have a defense that may be starting to jell. Penn State QB Trace McSorley is talented, completing 58 of 90 passes for 828 yards, 4 TD’s and 2 interceptions. Michigan’s defense got torched last Saturday, saved only by Colorado’s quarterback leaving the game injured. Don’t underestimate McSorley. Another concern for Michigan is their run game. Sure they’ve put up big numbers against weak teams, but it has struggled at times. Don’t be surprised to see Michigan struggle in the rush game Saturday against a decent defense. If McSorley gets hot, he could finish what Colorado started last week. I think Michigan wins at home by 14, but again an upset would not be a surprise.
